Reasons to sit for GMAT during summer

Summers may remind you of feverish, unfriendly days when sun glowers at any outburst of activity. With the mercury touching a new record everyday, all your plans for an outing with friends, or any of the outdoor games may as well rest till the time rains announce a whiff of change.

While you may curse your luck and resign yourself to the cool comforts of ACed interiors, your couch time may actually prove to be the right opportunity to prepare for GMAT. The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT), as it is popularly known, is a test that most students approach with dread. It is the test that can make or spoil their chances at top business schools.

You may not believe it but summers are the best time to crack this code. You have loads of free time on weekends, a deserted home as your sibling and parents scamper for the cool but swarming hill stations of Shimla and Mussorie, a relaxed work front at office, where the boss has been browbeaten by his wife and kids to take them on that promised holiday to Maldives or Europe. You could not have asked for a better blessing. There is time, space, and peace to help you tide over this exam.

And the blessings do not end here. You call at the GMAT center, and get the earliest date for test. After preparation, when you go and attempt the test, your instructor is all pleased and more than helpful for you and a few of others like- minded smarties, who are the first ones to cast the dice.

This is the only time when you know that irrespective of the dip of your score scale, you are in for good times. For, if you crack the code, you have made a head start over thousands of sheep headed bunch, who would only get working towards the admission time. After all, what could be better than clinching the admission seat in your choice business school at the first round, when there are fewer applications and unlimited seats for consideration? This is not to undermine the pleasure that one gets from securing a high view seat and watching the commotion below as other struggle to get their scores and application process right.

For those of you who may not get a good score card, you can still apply for a re-test, without losing on any valuable time. By the second time, you would have not only got an idea about what to expect in GMAT, but would also know how to handle the small faux pas you committed the first time. Wiser by the experience, your score is bound to shoot up only, and you will still be well in time before the race begins.

On your marks.
All set.
Are you ready to go?
