Cost of taking GRE

Graduate Record Test (GRE) gauge undergraduate achievement in specific fields of study and is used to evaluate your ability and eligibility for admission into a Master's or Ph.D. program in American Universities. Students are required to pass the GRE, a Computer Adaptive Test conducted by the Educational Testing Service, Princeton , New Jersey . GRE is scored on a maximum of 1600 points. Remember, GRE score is a very important and vital factor in getting admission and financial assistantship or scholarships.

The Testing Expense

   GRE General Test registration fee - $150.00 (Revised w.e.f. July 1)
   GRE Subject Test fee - $150.00 (Revised w.e.f. July 1)



Application Time! In case you are applying to seven grad schools:

   Additional score reports to send to grad schools at $15.00 each (only four are included in the registration fee) - $45.00
   Average application fee of $50.00 each - $350.00
   Priority mail postage of approximately $4.05 each - $28.35
   Average university registrar fee to submit transcripts of $10.00 each - $70.00
