Nanyang Technological University

NTU-Singapore is a fifty year old university that remains well within the upper echelons of the world’s best science and technology institutes. In the latest world ranking by Times Higher Education Supplement (THES, NTU climbed to 48th spot and was placed 26th among technology universities.

Besides having one of the largest engineering colleges in the world, NTU has a top-tier business school with MBA programs that rank among the world’s top hundred. It also has an internationally acclaimed National Institute of Education, one of the best communication and information schools in Asia and a biological sciences school that is at the forefront of Singapore's life sciences initiative. To make the university comprehensive three more schools have been recently added: Art, Design and Media; Humanities and Social Sciences; and Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

NTU has also expanded its global network to accelerate collaborative research, teaching and entrepreneurship. It has many joint programs with top universities. Focused on grooming global leaders, NTU students also hone their leadership skills through residential living and self-governance. The 200-ha garden campus of Nanyang Technological University is located in the western part of Singapore. The nearest food and entertainment complex is Jurong Point, which houses cinemas, a huge NTUC supermarket and two food courts. There is also a National Library branch at the top floor of the complex. NTU is also very well connected by bus and train.
