The Math Section consists of problem solving and grid-in questions. You'll answer questions on topics you've learned in school, including geometry, Algebra II and arithmetic.
How many math questions are on the SAT?
There are 54 Math questions on the SAT. You'll have three math sections; 2, 25-minute sections and 1, 20-minute section.
What type of math questions are on the SAT?
The 54 questions are broken down into 2 question types: 44, multiple-choice, problem solving questions and 10, grid questions that constitute the Student- Produced Responses.
What math concepts are tested on the SAT?
Basic Arithmetic, Algebra I & II, and Geometry. Pay special attention to you understanding of Sets, Absolute Value, Radical Equations, Exponents and Functions.
How is the math section scored?
200-800 points. You get 200 points for signing your name and each question you get right gets you closer to an 800 perfect score.
How to handle the Algebra II questions?
We'll teach you to solve the handful of Algebra II questions on the SAT. But even if you make a few mistakes, there are so few of them that your score will barely be affected.
Trig anyone?
There are some triangle questions on the SAT, but you will not have to know trigonometry to solve them.
What else?
A few things to study include: Sets, Absolute Value, Radical Equations, Exponents, and Functions.

Calculator use is allowed, but not required.
